Northland ARES Assistance for NKC Snake Saturday, March 10, 2012

Greetings

North Kansas City will be hosting their annual Snake Saturday festivities on Saturday, March 10th. As we did last year, the NKC CERT Team will be deployed as additional eyes and ears for the police department. To assist with the communications aspect of this deployment, I am requesting assistance from the Northland ARES Team to shadow our CERT members during this deployment for communications back to the NKC Incident Command.

If you can lend us a hand we will deploy from the NKC Police Department between 8:30 and 9:00 am and the deployment will last until around 2 pm. After your participation we will be feeding you lunch at the NKC Community Center as a thank you!

We could use 2-3 mobile units for this deployment and probably up to six foot units to shadow the CERT Teams. The foot units will need hand held radios and sufficient batteries for up to 5 hours. A yellow vest, ARES ball cap, clothing appropriate for the weather and good foot wear is needed for this deployment.

If you can participate in this event, please contact Dave Laskowski, N8TMN via email at n8tmn@yahoo.com.

Thank you in advance for your participation and support!

73 de Dave, N8TMN
