Operation Southern Sparks”, a multiple-county communications functional exercise, sponsored by the Missouri Department of Public Safety was conducted on January 27, 2011.  There were multiple objectives for the exercise that were designed to assess the capacity, efficiency, accuracy, and availability of primary and alternate methods of communications including the need for amateur radio.  The exercise was based on an earthquake scenario along the New Madrid Seismic Zone in Southeast Missouri.  Over 200 people, mainly in the Central, East, & Southern part of Missouri participated in this exercise.

Peter,The road will have on-street painted bike lanes in both deitcrions. In addition to the bike lanes, there will be trail along one side. The two facilities will give cyclists of all abilities good options for on-street transportation riding or more recreational trail riding.
